Bikram yoga is a series of Hatha yoga postures (asana’s) & breathing exercises that can improve muscle strength, flexibility & help weight loss.
Discomfort was the first reason I begain doing Bikram yoga. Having played football professionally for 20 years I would wake up achy & stiff. After doing Bikram yoga regularly for a month I found the aches & stiffness had gone & I also started losing weight.
What I like most is that no class is ever the same: you just don't know what to expect! The heat is very challenging & you feel a sense of achievement when the class is over.
I only wish I'd have found Bikram yoga during my football / training days. I don't bother with the gym now, yoga is my only form of exercise, & its the way forward!
